We received an email dated 18th December, 2024, under the banner "Update on Hastings and Mornington Bus Planning".
Once again Somerville, the largest population base out of Somerville, Tyabb and Hastings have been left out in the cold by the State Government.
Quoting the website "The proposed route would provide improve residents’ access to jobs, shopping, healthcare, and education in Mornington, Moorooduc, Tyabb, and Hastings", Engage Victoria are admitting that this service will do nothing for Somerville.
If you read the attached document, it is like no one from Somerville responded to the survey back in September 2024!!
We appeal to the State member Paul Mercurio to do something about this matter and other things that have been brought to his attention over the past two years-:
Somerville Roundabout
North Western Railway Reserve opposite Somerville Hotel
South Western Railway Reserve opposite the Mechanics Institute
Somerville Station upgrade per the Big Build website
Somerville Business Group Inc. are serious about advocating for Somerville to be a better place to Shop, Work Invest and Play. We appeal to the State Government and Paul Mercurio to listen to what we are saying and to help out struggling small businesses with better transport solutions and beautification of the centre of Somerville.
